I have always had a passion for hair, I studied school with the high school/cosmetology program, I have always continued my education and have specialized in highlighting, balayage, and hair extensions. I have been doing hair for 18 years. I live in Issaquah. I have two small children, So I know how hard it is to be a mom and always want to look your best. My goal is to create and customize a style that best flatters your features, but will also reflect your unique lifestyle and personality!
•Jamie started doing hair in high school. She knew from year 10 that hair was what she wanted to do.
•After graduating she went to Gene Juarez beauty school and completed her training in the year 2000 at the age of 19.
•She went straight to work on the Eastside in Newcastle at a small local salon. By the age of 20 she was the salon manager. At 21 she left the Eastside to work downtown at Lewis Fox Salon, and realized quickly that working in the city was not for her.
•Still 21 she split the difference and ended up on Mercer Island at AuCourant Salon where she remained for the next 17 years. Building a clientele, continuing her education and honing her craft. She has trained under local color specialist Susie Powers, and been certified twice under Vidal Sassoon in precision cutting.
•In 2019 Jamie left her commission based position at AuCourant Salon to pursue self employment. Finally landing at Karina Hair and Beauty, with long time friend and former coworker Karina.
•Using Schwarzkopf color for the last 25 years Jamie knows the ins and outs of this high end color line. She currently specializes in color, highlighting, and cutting. If you ask her “color is my favorite, highlights in particular. But I love taking a new client from start to finish with any and all services they require.”
